the location
very poor service, the waitress was sneezing and caughing not covering her mouth, cleaning her nose and touching food. I would not have breakfast being handled by a sick person. it was the only restaurant available at 7 am .

What was the highlight of Hotel Junquera Vigo
A fine 3-star hotel, slightly overpriced
It is a fine 3-star hotel with a familiar feeling. There is a café/restaurant. The guests were diverse (families, solo travellers, supposedly young same-sex couples, and groups of senior people). There is a small swimming pool, for which you can buy a swimming-cap for a small price at the front desk, and the temperature of the water was just fine. The breakfast had all the essentials (fruit, yoghurt, eggs, bread, jam, cheese, coffee, juice, etc.) plus gluten-free cookies - for a fair price. The room was large and had a modern shower. There is a bakery nearby, bars and restaurants in the neighbourhood and enough graffiti in the steep small streets around the area - it has its charm.
Communication was not always clear - but perhaps my non-native Spanish is to blame. It is over-priced for what you get. Swimming-pool installation is old. There were no towels. Cafeteria was supposed to open at 7 a.m. but at 8:40 I was told to wait till 9:00. Fortunately, the breakfast buffet was open, so I took that. The entrance was not clear, there are two doors but you are supposed to use only one - the other is kind of blocked by a chair.
